Call for Entries for Web Animation Contest

Kobelco Systems Corporation believes that its responsibility is to contribute to society through information and communication technology with a lot oｆ business partners.
Keyword of Kobelco Systems Corp. on CSR（corporate social responsibility） is "together with" ,for example "together with customers", "together with our employees", "together with business partners" and "together with Local Communities".Now, it's calling for entries of web animations with the theme of Various "Together With"
Kobelco Systems Corporation will present prize-winning works on its website, and use them for its related events and PR activities.

a. Flash Movie(*.swf) as an example, made by "Adobe Flash" of Adobe System Incorporated.
b. Eva Format(*.eva) made by "EVA animator (series)" of Sharp Corporation.
c. GIF Format(*.gif)

3．Judges
The competition will be carried out by the "Kobe Digital Contents Council" and Kobelco Systems Corporation of 2 stages. At the first stage of judging, the "Kobe Digital Contents Council" will select up to five submissions for their excellence. These five submissions will then be assessed by a secondary panel of judges from Kobelco Systems Corporation, where one "Prize of Kobelco Systems" and four "Excellence Prizes" will be chosen. The submission chosen for the "Prize of Kobelco Systems" will be used on the companies' website. However, if the quality of submissions do not meet the standard that organisers expect, it may be considered as "not pertinent".
The results will be announced on the Web Animation Contest's website by the end of September 2011.
Assessment Criteria
The submitted works must be associated with "Together With" and cheer the audiences up.
4．Awards (denominations/supplementary prizes)
【Prize of Kobelco Systems】
One submission is chosen according to the guidelines outlined above.
Prize: 100,000 yen
【Excellence Prizes】
Chosen by the judges according to the guidelines outlined above.
Prize: 30,000 yen (within 4 prizes)
※ If the recipient of this prizes is under 20 years old, the parent (or guardian/guarantor) must give permission for the award to be presented. Please note that the organisers are not involved with the declaration of the prize to the taxation office.
Policy for Handling of submitted work
| ① | The ownership and copyright of submitted work remain with the creator. However, the competition organisers; Executive Committee of Animation Kobe, Kobe Digital Contents Council, and Kobe City Hall, reserve the rights to use submitted work for the purpose of display on the internet and in related promotional events. ※Once the Web Animation Contest Administration Office receives an application, the organisers gain rights to adapt, reproduce, show, make it transmittable and right of public transmission. |
| ② | In the case of the organisers using submitted material, organisers may ask for minor variations to be made. The screen size and layout of submitted material may be changed by the organisers at the organizer's discretion. |
| ③ | Applications must not use third-party material and/or infringe copyright. If the work or comments therein are deemed by the organisers to have; used personal information (including real names), violated the privacy of others, infringed intellectual property rights, or included publicly offensive material, the organisers reserve the right to remove the submission from the competition or to delete relevant material. |
| ④ | Submitted works will not be returned to the applicant. |
Policy for Handling of Personal Information
Personal information provided on the "Web Animation Contest Entry Form" will be appropriately handled according to Kobe City's Personal Information Protection Regulations and appropriate measures will be taken to prevent information being leaked.
