Kobe City and "Executive Committee of Animation Kobe (Chairman: Mr.Akira Kamiya [voice actor])"conducts "Animation Kobe" annually since 1995, in order to promote development of ICT-related industries and accumulate the related businesses centering on digital imaging industry in Kobe. We believe it can be achieved through integration of the culture of Animation with digital technology. This event is now being a symbol of promotion of ICT in Kobe.

While domestic commercial animation is well recognized internationally,"Animation Kobe" annually honors good works, creators and those who contributed to the animation industry for many years.
In addition, "Animation Kobe" encourages students to create the digital graphics works with educational institutions in KOBE.
Therefore,to provide opportunities for a lot of people so as to make animation easily, "Web Animation Contest" is held.
Furthermore, "Digital Creators Contest"in which participants can get advice from a professional directors，and "hands-on workshop" in which participants can get the technique at the forefront of professional is held.
Through these projects, we are working to train, develop and educate people which will be content creators in the future.
