The session will feature last year's winner of Animation Kobe's Individual Award, animation director Watanabe Shin'ichi. Having made films that moved people and made them laugh, Watanabe will talk about what "gag" means to him. While introducing the history of gag animation, the program plans to explore Watanabe's work, as well as show some of his animation.
