Voice Actor's skills
Aspiring young voice actors practiced such necessary skills as reading aloud from scripts and using the right tone and expression for different scenes and emotions. Not only did the instructor, leading voice actor Kamitani Akira, give each participant individual advice, but he also served as the narrator for a radio play performed by the participants on the evening of Nov. 23. Participants numbered 20, and were selected by Mr. Kamitani on the basis of 30-second auditions sent in on cassette tapes. Participants began doing vocal exercises on their own before the workshop started, and the workshop was characterized by intense concentration from start to finish.
