Workshops
Animator's skills (With Japanese Translation)
A workshop for aspiring animators was taught by Duncan Marjoribanks, a top animator at DreamWorks SKG (interpreter present). Participants learned about animation by actually drawing pictures on a light box, then scanning their pictures into a computer and making them move. Tasks included drawing a person walking and animating a sack of flour as a character. Mr. Marjoribanks checked the work of every participant individually, giving detailed advice to each one. Participants numbered 14, and were selected on the basis of original work they had submitted.
